Taste

An ounce and a half of bourbon, three-quarters elderflower, half an ounce each of dry vermouth and lemon, a quarter of honey, egg white. The foam carries the flower; dry vermouth keeps it lean. Shaken, rocks with ice, orange twist. Bourbon under elderflower.

History

Little Honey is missing from the pre-1970 manuals and has no entry under that name in Difford's, Punch, or Imbibe. The nearest parents are the Gold Rush, T.J. Siegal's bourbon, lemon, and honey sour at Milk & Honey around 2000, and the Bee's Knees, with St-Germain, launched by Robert Cooper in 2007, in the elderflower slot. The build here adds dry vermouth and egg white to those, with an ounce and a half of bourbon, over ice with an orange twist.
